| Laveen Lions Country Challenge Bike Ride |
The Laveen Country Challenge is a bicycle tour held the second Sunday in
February in conjunction with the Laveen Community Pit Barbecue. The event
attracts six to eight hundred participants from across the country for 15,
30, or 62-mile tours through our community. Riders return year after year
to take the challenge and enjoy the ride.

| Laveen Lions Annual Golf Tourney |
In April, golfers from all over the Valley will gather at the
Bougainvillea
Golf Course for the Annual Laveen Lions Golf Tournament. Players will vie for
prizes ranging from airline tickets and Disneyland passes to romantic getaways
at plush resorts. As always, proceeds go to support the worthwhile efforts of
the Laveen Lions Club.

| NASCAR Race Volunteers |
NASCAR Racing
comes to Phoenix International Raceway during April & November
and the Laveen Lions will be in the thick of things. During each racing event,
Laveen Lions Club members will be on hand to provide spectator directions and
information, to shuttle guests and VIPS between parking and the race track, to
reunite lost kids with parents, and coordinate first aid services.

| Greyhound Night |
The Annual Laveen Lions trip to the dog track. Lions and their guests have a
fabualous meal and enjoy the fun of some pari-mutel wagering at one of the
valleys oldest landmarks -
Phoenix Greyhound Park
.
Proceeds form the evening racing are paid out to
the club for assistance with its community efforts.

| Cesar Chavez H.S. Snack Bar |
Fall is football weather and the Cesar Chavez Champions will take the field to
provide the locals with their annual dose of gridiron excitement. As the fans cheer
and the game carries on under the lights, the Laveen Lions will be there. The Lions
man the snack bar as volunteers to raise funds to support scholarships and the school athletic department.
