  • Lions Induct New Members Jack Foster and Ron Harders
On Thursday, October 5th, the Laveen Lions welcomed two new members:

Jack Foster and wife Vickie moved to the Phoenix area from Boston about ten years ago. Lion Jack is a realtor with High Profile Reality and clearly knows how to select the best community in the Valley of the Sun because three years ago Jack and Vickie relocated to our part of town.

Lion Jack has a distinguished record of service to his community having spent four years in the United States Air Force and time since as a member of the American Legion. He plans to continue his record of service through his membership in the Laveen Lions with the goals of helping others while meeting his neighbors. He stays in shape by hiking trails in South Mountain Park several times a week.

Ron Harders brings years of Lionism experience to the Laveen Lions. Lion Ron and wife Rachael relocated to Phoenix about three years ago upon Ron’s retirement from the computer business. For eight years Ron was a member of the Harvard, Illinois Lions Club and brings the benefit of his experience in community service to the Laveen Lions.

After a career as a math teacher in Illinois, Rachael Harders has found a way to keep busy after retirement. She recently started a second life as an adjunct mathematics instructor at South Mountain Community College.

Not to be left out, Lion Ron recently took on a new challenge as the Libertarian Party candidate for US Congress in District Four. Lion Ron did not unseat incumbent Ed Pastor, but he did gain some vital experience. In four years, Lion Ron will run again. And next time, he say’s, he’ll win.

Laveen Lion and Congressman Ron Harders. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
