Once a year, the Laveen Lions pick a wonderful destination and head out for the annual anniversary celebration.
All Lions and their guests are welcome. Previous destinations have included such marvelous venues as Kartchner Caverns and Tombstone.
So... come on along and have some fun. The trips are always memorable. |
| Laveen Lions Awards and Officer Installation Banquet |
The Laveen Lions season runs September to June with a couple months off in between for the club's new officers to
get adjusted and geared up for the coming year. At the end of the season we always celebrate the year we've just had.
Awards are given out for just about evry noteworthy effort that comes to pass and the new officer contingent is officially
installed by the District Governor. The food is good and its a warm-hearted at cheerful night.

Ever play Daniel Boone when you were a kid? Once a year the Lions head for the North Forty to fire off
black-powder rifles and cook out some prime beef. If you've always been too afraid to shoot a gun yourself or don't know how... No worries!
The club's resident experts will do all the loading and for a friendly smile, they'll gladly coach you all the way through it, right down to
helping you squeeze the trigger if need be.

Ho! Ho! Ho!... and away we go! How about an old-fashioned hayride with some neighborhood carolling?
Maybe some holiday spirits and a freindly gift exchange? It must be Christmas time and the Laveen Lions must be getting together for
their annual holiday party with all th tradition of a Norman Rockwell painting.
